We are a caring family owned business.
The nursery is registered to care for a maximum of 46 children.
We are situated in a residential area, local to shops, child friendly
parks, schools and child friendly wildlife areas.

Our goal is to provide a safe and caring environment where children can gain a positive approach to school and learning. They will learn to care for, and respect each other, whilst learning how to be part of a group. Good nursery education is crucial to a child's formative years, and fosters an enthusiasm and confidence that will remain with them throughout their school life. Our experienced and dedicated staff help the children to become successful learners, confident individuals, and effective contributors to society. Children learn through play and structured lessons with a balance of free choice.
It is widely accepted that children in this age group absorb and achieve more than at any other stage in their school life, and this makes choosing the right nursery school vital.

Personal, Social and Emotional Development
At Henry's Day Nursery children are provided with a positive environment to learn and are given experiences and support that help them develop a positive sense of themselves and others, as well as good social skills and respect for each other.
Literacy
Using the Jolly Phonics system, we encourage children to link sounds and letters, which helps them to begin reading and writing. They are given access to a wide range of reading materials to both ignite their interest, and practice their newly-acquired skills.
Communication and Language
With the support of their teachers, children are encouraged to develop their communication and listening skills whilst also building on their reading and writing abilities.
Mathematics
Children are supported in developing their understanding of problem solving, reasoning and numeracy in a broad range of contexts - they can explore, enjoy, learn, practice and talk about their developing understanding. They are constantly provided with opportunities to practice these skills and to gain confidence.
Understanding the World
In this area of learning and development, children are encouraged to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding to make sense of the world. Their learning is supported by offering opportunities for them to encounter creatures, people, plants, and objects in their natural environment and in real life situations – they will often undertake practical experiments, working with a range of materials.
Physical Development
With our wide range of equipment, children are given opportunities to be active and interactive, and to gain skills in coordination, control, manipulation, and movement. Understanding the importance of physical activity and healthy choices in relation to food are both supported.
Expressive Arts and Design
Children are provided with opportunities to explore their creativity through art, craft, music, movement, role-play activities and IT. Creative play enables children to make connections between one area of learning and another, thereby enhancing their understanding.
